Beautiful car. 1980 Fiat Spider in gorgeous Cappuccino Bronze with a tan convertible top, tan interior, and factory alloy wheels. Original West Virginia car with only two owners since new, only 30,143 actual miles, and recently checked over by Boffo Jaguar with $3263.32 in receipts. The original twin-cam 2.0 liter fuel-injected engine is 100% factory stock. Starts immediately and settles into a smooth quiet idle. Runs perfectly on regular gas and there are no issues; no smoke, no leaks, no noises. Pulls strongly through the gears and the 5-speed manual transmission (with overdrive) shifts perfectly & allows relaxed highway cruising. Rack & pinion steering and power four-wheel disc brakes for safe fun driving. Lovely tan bucket seat interior with the wood dash and factory leather steering wheel. No wear on the seats, no wear on the carpets, no cracks in the dash, no sunfade on the instruments. All of the gauges works correctly and even the clock keeps accurate time. Dealer installed stereo with power rear antenna (sounds great). The front seats recline, have the factory headrests, and the rear seat is appropriate for small children or parcels. Incredibly nice interior. Excellent body with no signs of corrosion repair, collision damage, and all panels are factory original. Very nice paint in factory correct Cappuccino Bronze Metallic base/clear. This is an outstanding color that literally glows in bright sunlight with its gold basecoat. There are several small scratches too minor to show in photos and too minor to have addressed; they cannot be seen unless under scrutiny. Excellent glass and all windows operate smoothly. Excellent window whskers, weatherstripping, and trunk molding. The original tan canvas convertible top is in good condition and the rear window is clear. The top operates easily and the parade boot is also in excellent condition. Excellent brightwork and front & rear bumpers. The trunk contains the original spare tire, original jack assembly, original tool kit, and a car cover. Beautiful factory alloy wheels (never curbed) fitted with brand new Yokohama P185-60-14 radials. Documentation includes the original window sticker ($10,348), all of the factory pamphlets, sales brochure, consumer information, and the maintenance records. The US Naval Academy decal is still in the window and the car has just passed rigorous state safety inspection.

There has never been such a lavish array of accessories on such an accessible car.

The birth of the Fiat 500 represents the start of a new chapter, a declaration of the role that Fiat aims to interpret in the future on the market and in society. Featuring an innovative softtop - a fully fledged window to the sky - the new Fiat 500C comes in the same size as the basic model (3.55 m x 1.65 m x 1.49 m) and the same three powerplants: the 1.3 liter 75 HP Multijet Turbodiesel coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission and the two 1.2 liter 69 HP and 1.4 liter 100 HP gasoline engines, available with either manual or robotized Dualogic transmission. Providing different features, all three engine types are generously sized, have a brilliant temperament and offer high performance based on sophisticated technology. Standard features include stubborn reliability and environmental friendliness.

The new Fiat 500C incorporates the innovative "Start&Stop" system, a device controlling momentary engine shutdown and subsequent reignition. To this end, at every stop when shifting to neutral and releasing the clutch, the engine is switched off and then restarted simply by selecting a gear.

Created by the Fiat Styling Center and manufactured at the Tichy plant in Poland, the Fiat 500C is of the "open source" design, implying the addition of new functions to a highly successful existing product. Indeed, the Fiat 500C incorporates all the strong points of the basic model, namely top-of-segment safety features, 4-adult seat habitability and generous luggage space combined with excellent loadability also with the soft top fully open, thanks to a clever parallelogram hinge device.

A highly original exercise in design, the softtop of the Fiat 500C stands out for its refined electrically operated linkage and engineering solutions of great quality and finish, such as the glass backlight and the built-in center high mounted stop light.

This original soft top will be matched with several bodywork color schemes, two of which have been conceived specifically for the new car, i.e. a brilliant Pearl Red and a special Warm Grey typical of sports supercars. Last but not least, thanks to the adoption of the innovative sliding softtop combined with a styling concept which retains all-round protection, the Fiat 500C offers a delightful ride in any season of the year. Fiat has unveiled the Panda Hydrogen, a concept vehicle powered by an innovative fuel cell system, capable of delivering all the necessary power without the need for drive batteries.The Panda Hydrogen is equipped with a fuel cell system called "Full Power": it lacks a drive battery for the accumulation of electrical energy that in most fuel cell vehicles is needed for acceleration. Panda Hydrogen is the result of a joint venture between Fiat Auto, the Fiat Research Centre and Fiat Powertrain Research & Technology with the support of the Research and Environment Ministries. It features performances a urban use: it accelerates from 0 to 50 km/m in less than 5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 130 km/h. The hydrogen tank capacity guarantees the Panda Hydrogen a range of more than 200 km over an urban cycle. Refuelling time is very quick at less than 5 minutes, i.e. comparable to the time taken to refuel a methane car.The electrical power generation system is supplied with hydrogen at a pressure of 1.5 bars and oxygen contained in the air. It produces electrical energy so efficiently that 60% is available at just 20% of maximum power. The alternating current three-phase asynchronous electric engine and the transmission are located in the engine compartment together with the various auxiliary systems. Though Fuel Cell propulsion systems will not be widely available before 15-20 years, in 2006 Fiat will start a field research phase with some demonstration Panda Hydrogen fleets.
